Computer Consulting 101 was a line of products and services developed to help small business computer consulting firms attract better clients, establish a base of recurring service revenue, and grow their businesses.
Most Computer Consulting 101 customers were either VARs, network integrators, computer repair businesses, or IT solution providers in the USA, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
Contents
The products and services included:
- Downloadable special reports and templates
- Live teleseminar training classes
- Recordings of live teleseminar training classes
- One-on-one marketing and business development coaching
After building out this line of products and services over a period of about six months, a few potential customers asked if the publisher had considered bundling all of the offerings together into one systematic course at a modestly discounted price for purchasing everything.
From those requests, the Computer Consulting 101 Professional Kit was created.
Timeline
Computer Consulting 101 was launched in July 2002 with the introduction of a downloadable special report on IT service agreements and the scheduling of a live teleseminar training class for Fortune 1000 IT professionals considering launching a computer consulting business.
With the introduction of the more robust Computer Consulting Kit Home Study Course in March 2007, the Computer Consulting 101 brand was deprecated.
Pivot
In 2013, the principals of the parent company -- KISTech Communications Corporation -- began pivoting its core business model from training to implementation.
Because of dramatic market shifts in B2B purchasing cycles, where search, social, mobile, and cloud makes many traditional interruption-centric marketing channels anywhere from much less effective to obsolete, the company rebranded as SP Home Run Inc. and now provides outsourced Inbound marketing services for B2B technology companies.
